Samara- La Asociacion CREAR, founded in 2005, is a non-profit organization offering a wide variety of services to the local members of the community, primarily children, all completely free of charge. CREAR provides educational opportunities in the fields of technology, music, art, English, dance, theater, environmental education, horticulture, sports, values and academic support. CREAR offers after-school programs from Monday through Thursday as well as, summer camps, weekly clubs (cooking and yoga!) and tutorials.
On Saturday, December 12, CREAR will be presenting the work of the local students over the past school year in a fundraising event of food, live music, raffle prizes and fun, at Lagarto Restaurant in Playa Sámara. Come help support the CREAR organization in their efforts to provide supplemental education to the community of Sámara. Reserve your seat today by stopping by Lagarto or the CREAR office located in Intercultura. The dinners all include a glass of sangria, dessert and a raffle ticket. Choose from the Grilled Vegetable platter ($18), Grilled Calamari Stuffed with Bell Peppers ($24), or the Mixed Meat Platter ($30) with proceeds going to CREAR. A special thanks goes to Lagarto for their generosity and collaboration. For more information about CREAR, visit www.asociacioncrear.org or email them at [email protected]
