Rainbow Organic Farmer’s Market

On your way to surf Guiones' main break, did you notice person after person strolling by with tote bags full of fresh veggies?  They were on their way back from the Rainbow Organic Farmer's Market.

Every Tuesday morning from 8AM till about Noon, the market is open.  It's located near Cacho's Surf Shack near the main entrance to Guiones Beach, in a shaded area that sits unused most of the week anticipating Tuesday's arrival.

Here you'll find Tuesday mornings abuzz with customers and vendors, locals saying hello and new friends being made.  As for products?  Available for sale are items such as fresh bread, fish, Franklin's superfoods, local dairy products, organic bugspray, handmade jewelry, and of course loads of veggies.

The market recently launched an online Pre-Ordering system online at RainbowOrganic.cr.   The online system accepts orders from Tuesday at 11 AM until Saturday at 9:00 AM, for your order to be ready at the following Tuesday market.  The organizers of the market work with select farms in Cartago, Zarcero, Turrialaba, Alajuela, Sarchi, and Nosara to fulfill the orders.  They do recommend pre-ordering to be sure to get exactly what you need for your organic veggie fix.  Buen Provecho!
