Surf and Fishing Tournament Benefits Public Education in Camaronal
On Sunday, March 21st, Popo’s Surf Camp and the community groups of Camaronal and Estrada hosted the 6th Annual Classic Surf and Fishing Tournament on the legendary beach breaks of Guanacaste’s Camaronal Wildlife Refuge to generate funds for Camaronal’s small public school.
The once ramshackle structure of Camaronal’s Public School was originally constructed with a lone corrugated tin roof without walls or doors. Today the same building is a source of public pride as it symbolizes communal cooperation and provides a modern educational center. More >
