Tia Luna Revamps Restaurant In Nosara Town

04/26//13

The new restaurant Tia Luna is right across from the Nosara airport, which makes it an ideal spot for newcomers flying into town or for waiting for a flight out.

Marvin Castillo, a local business owner, opened Tia Luna with an intimate party with friends on March 22nd.  Castillo converted the venue from a soda to a full-fledged restaurant, not just with the new menu but also with typical decoration, music and a playground for children.

Open for lunch and dinner from 10 a.m. to 10p.m., Monday through Saturday, Tia Luna serves traditional Costa Rican food like casados, rice with chicken, shrimp or seafood, and gallo pinto along with non-alcoholic refreshments. But their signature dish is the whole fried fish, bought from local fishermen, as well as the desert of flan de coco made from scratch.
